Absence Support

The Absence Support team at Lead Employer provide clerical support, training, and guidance to all our stakeholders which includes Host Organisations, NHS England, General Practice Managers and colleagues-in-training to assist them with the most efficient management of sickness absence in line with the Trust's Attendance Management Policy.

The team work very closely with the Health, Work and Wellbeing Department (HWWB) to support colleagues in training with any health issues whilst on a period of absence.



The Lead Employer and HWWB team promote a positive, enabling attitude towards both current and new colleagues-in-training facing wellbeing difficulties, striving to ensure that you feel safe when sharing your concerns with us and have access to advice and counselling as early as possible.
