Time to Talk Day 2024

Published: 1st February 2024

Who will you start a conversation with today?

Time to Talk Day is an annual campaign organised by Time to Change, a mental health charity in England.

It takes place on the first Thursday in February and aims to bring people together to talk about mental health and reduce the stigma surrounding it. The goal is to promote understanding, acceptance, and support for those experiencing mental health challenges.

We understand how the demanding and stressful nature of your work can pose a higher risk of mental health challenges. Long working hours, high patient loads, exposure to trauma and difficult situations, balancing work and personal life, and the pressure to make critical decisions can all have a negative impact.

Here are some resources that may be beneficial for you:

1. Time to Change - this UK-based organisation initiated Time to Talk Day. Their website provides a wealth of resources, including conversation packs, event ideas, tips for starting conversations, and downloads to help you get involved.

2. The Royal Medical Benevolent Fund - a UK-based charity that offers financial support, counselling, and other services to doctors, medical students, and their families who are facing hardship due to physical or mental health issues.
